Superheroes for cCMV Family Walk/Run/Roll

Date: Sunday, November 8th, 2026 Location: The Learning Center for the Deaf (Framingham, MA) Start Time: 10 AM Join us this November at The Learning Center for the Deaf as we come together to raise funds for cCMV education and research. Enjoy a meaningful day surrounded by other families and advocates who share a passion for making a difference in the cCMV community. Fees: $25/person $15/youth $75/family of 4 or more Children age 3 and under are free All registered children will receive a cape to decorate at the event! Course - This short walk/run/roll is is geared towards families and children and will be untimed. Participants will complete two laps around a soccer field at their own pace. Event Festivities: In addition to the walk/run/roll, there will be a bounce house, face-painting, a playground, food trucks, and other games & activities for families to enjoy. Raffle: We will be raffling off baskets and more at the event! Cash or Pay Pal will be accepted. $1/ticket or $20 for 25 tickets. Accessibility: ASL interpreters will be available throughout the event. This event will be accessible for all. Parking: There are several lots available around The Learning Center. Additional parking information will be shared with all registered participants. Pets: Only service animals are permitted on campus. Fundraising/donations: All funds raised (including registration fees) will go to the Massachusetts Congenital CMV Coalition and the National CMV Foundation to help support them in their mission of promoting cCMV education and awareness, in order to lessen its incidence and improve outcomes. WHAT IS cCMV? Congenital Cytomegalovirus (cCMV) is the most common infectious cause of birth defects and the leading non-genetic cause of hearing loss. 1 in 200 babies are born with the virus, but only 9% of women know about it or how to prevent it.
