• Join us at the 2022 Celebrate Salem Awards!

    June 29, 2022 at PEM

The Salem Chamber of Commerce’s 98th Annual Celebrate Salem Awards Dinner will take place in the beautiful Atrium of the Peabody Essex Museum on the evening of Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

The program of the evening will include the presentation of the “Celebrate Salem Awards”.   Nominations are submitted by the members of the Salem Chamber of Commerce. Winners per category will be decided by general vote by the Salem Chamber membership and the community at large.  Click here to vote for the winners! (Voting closes on June 10th at Midnight)

The theme for this year’s dinner is “Salem Stories”, based on a current PEM exhibit. Organized by the architecture of the alphabet, Salem Stories presents 26 vignettes about the people, places and events that make Salem, Massachusetts, the city it is today. The exhibition starts at “A is for Always Indigenous” to acknowledge the Native communities who have lived for millennia on the land where the museum now sits. It ends with Z is for Zoology and coincides with the return to the galleries of a leatherback turtle specimen captured in 1885, a favorite of longtime visitors. As this is an evolving story, we’ve added another one, Salem’s Cookin’, the recently published official Salem Chamber cookbook, that has another 19 special stories about food and Salem’s history with food.

Tickets for the event are $125 per person and include a welcoming drink during the networking reception and a delicious sit down dinner. We are looking for sponsors for the event and sponsorship options can be found on the reservation and sponsorship form.
