Thursdays at Twilight

On select Thursdays this October, you are invited to relax like a member of the Phillips family after a day of exploration in Salem with a casual wine reception, historic home movies, and a twilight mansion tour. Thursdays at Twilight will be taking place on October 8 and 15. There will be two sessions to choose from each night—5:00 – 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Phillips House Museum, located at 34 Chestnut Street in Salem, Mass. The cost is $30.00 and $15.00 for members of Historic New England.
 
A casual wine reception will start the evening. Selections from Phillips family home movies provide a glimpse of how the family lived in the house and entertained, and where they traveled in their leisure time. The historic house tour will allow visitors a chance to explore the museum at twilight and see how electric light of the early twentieth century transforms a Federal-era house.
