The Irish Experience

Get a glimpse into the world of the Irish staff who kept the Phillips House running smoothly. Through the stories of cook Bridget Durkin, waitress Delia Cawley, nursemaid Catherine Shaughnessy, and chauffeur Patrick O’Hara, visitors will learn about the daily duties and what it was like to work for the Phillips family through the first half of the 20th century. See the living and working spaces, from the staff bedrooms on the third floor to the laundry room in the basement, on this 90-minute tour.
