Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Launches $31 Bluebikes Credit for National Wellness Month
WHAT: In celebration of National Wellness Month, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (“Blue Cross”) is launching a free $31 Bluebikes credit to encourage active transportation and support healthier lifestyles across Metro Boston. Blue Cross is the title sponsor of Bluebikes, Greater Boston’s municipally owned bike-sharing system. The system is municipally owned by thirteen cities and towns in eastern Massachusetts, and jointly managed by the Cities of Boston, Cambridge, Everett, and Somerville and the Town of Brookline. It is operated by Lyft under municipal contract. WHEN: Available beginning August 1, 2025 (while supplies last) WHERE: Credits can be used for pedal and ebikes across Bluebikes’ 550 stations in 13 municipalities, including Arlington, Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Malden, Medford, Newton, Revere, Salem, Somerville, and Watertown. HOW: Riders can redeem the free $31 Bluebikes credit by entering code BLUECROSSMARIDE in the “Rewards” section of the Bluebikes app. Credits are available while supplies last and must be used within 12 months from the time of redemption.
