Join Essex Heritage and historian Robert Booth for an excursion into the history of Salem Harbor from Winter Island to Forest River. Come aboard
Naumkeag and discover the lore of various islands, headlands, points, and coves. Venture back to a world of mills and shipyards, when the wharves and docks of Salem were crowded with merchant vessels returning from points the world over.

He is the author of several books including “Death of an Empire: The Rise and Murderous Fall of Salem, America’s Richest City”, and “Mad for Glory: A Heart of Darkness in the War of 1812.”
