Salem's Friends of the Council on Aging is hosting their Fall Fundraiser on Thursday, September 9th, from 5PM - 7:30PM at the Winter Island Pavilion. There will be hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are $5. The event will feature a presentation by local Historian Jim McAllister entitled, “Harbor Neck – Tails and Tidbits”. The Friends of the Salem Council on Aging is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Council of Aging by raising and disbursing funds to enable the Council to provide services, activities and programs to enrich and expand the quality of life of Salem’s seniors.
In order to fulfill their mission and provide services to the senior community, they rely upon the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. The Friends truly care about helping Salem's older residents stay engaged with the community.
