One such collection\, the Louis and Nettie Horch landscape collection\, includes paintings by local and internationally known artists like Childe Hassam (1859-1935)\, Gustave Courbet (1819-1977)\, and Jasper Francis Cropsey (1823-1900). Join us for an hour-long guided tour of our art collection led by the Athenaeum's Library Assistant\, Dr. Franny Zawadzki. Franny will discuss the historical significance of the artists and art works in our collection and will place the collection within the broader history of art collecting in America.\n\n\n\nThis event is free.
