DESCRIPTION:This is a fun road race featuring:   Chip timing   Great course with ocean views   Music   Food   Door prizes   Ocean Setting at Dane Street Beach with sandy beach\, grassy park for picnicking\, restrooms and new kids playground   Ocean themed medals for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place finish\, male and female\, by age group! NEW THIS YEAR! A team competition and a stroller division! The course starts at Dane Street Beach\, goes through wooded residential side streets to the Lighthouse at Hospital Point\, loops back through historic Beverly to Independence Park and ends with more ocean views. There are some rolling hills. One water stop. Please Note: T Shirts will only be available to those who register by Thursday\, May 25! This is a zero waste event. No bottled water. Everything will be recycled or composted! Proceeds benefit Salem Sound Coastwatch\, an award winning nonprofit environmental organization working to make our coastal waters clean and safe for over 25 years.
