DESCRIPTION:North Shore Elder Services will be providing another Powerful Tools training for caregivers starting September 10th. Powerful Tools for Caregivers is a six part educational series designed to assist those who are caring for a relative or friend. Whether you are helping a parent\, spouse\, friend\, or someone who lives at home\, in a nursing home\, or across the country\, this program will provide the tools you need to: reduce stress and relax\; communicate effectively with other family members\, doctors\, or service providers\; reduce guilt\, anger\, and depression\; make tough decisions\; and set goals and problem solve. This program does not focus on specific diseases or hands-on personal care training. The program runs on Mondays\, starting September 10 through to October 22\, 2018\, from 1:30 PM   3:30 PM at North Shore Elder Services\, 300 Rosewood Drive\, Suite 200\, Danvers\, MA. The cost is $10.00\, which is refundable upon completion of the program.
