DESCRIPTION:Interactive Theater is everywhere! The working actor in New England has much more than the stage on which to perform. New England\, and particularly Boston and Salem have many opportunities to perform in non- traditional venues. And while New England is home to some of the best theater programs in the country\, there is still very little to be found in training in the fastest growing theater discipline- Interactive Theater! Whether\, its pirate or Renaissance festivals\, murder mysteries or a first person historical venues\, haunted attractions or interactive witch trials(!)\, there is a wealth of venues for the working actor right in our backyard.\n\nDavid Stickney has taught interactive theater in New England and beyond ( New York\, Chicago\, Florida\, Virginia) for over twenty five years. He has taught hundreds of actors his techniques. In this  informative and fast paced seminar\, you will learn the basics of street and interactive theater.\n \nThis workshop will include:\nGames to encourage letting loose in a creative theater space.\nTechniques in developing strong interactive character.\nThe menu for the interactive "entrees"\nDeveloping your "bag of tricks"\nApproaching and engaging the guest.\nHistorical characters and dialect.\nTips for success in the interactive theater business.
