SUMMARY:Councilor-At-Large Political Forum
DESCRIPTION:The Salem Chamber of Commerce and the Salem News are proud to organize an at-large candidate forum for the 2019 local elections. The confirmed candidates for councilor at large are: Domingo Dominguez (i)\, Jeff Cohen\, Ty Hapworth\, Alice Merkl\, George McCabe\, Elaine Milo (i)\, Arthur Sargent (i)\, and Conrad Prosniewski.\n\n \n\nThe Salem Chamber has a history of being involved in local civics of the town. In 1912 the Salem Merchant Association and the Salem Civic Association merged into one organization\, the Salem Chamber of Commerce and Civics. Although the Salem Chamber of Commerce is now known under the shortened name\, its officially registered name still includes "and Civics" which is quite appropriate in the context of the two candidate forums the Chamber is organizing this year.\n\n \n\nThe forum will be moderated by David Olson\, editor-in-chief of the Salem News. The event is free and open to the public. The members of the Salem Chamber can reserve seating by RSVP only.\n\n \n\nThe business community will have the opportunity to have questions answered and concerns addressed. If interested in providing a question for the candidates\, email your "Candidate Questions" to: info@salem-chamber.org by October 9th.\n\n \n\nIf you are interested in sponsorship opportunities\, please contact us at info@salem-chamber.org with your inquiries.
