SUMMARY:Coffee Connection at North Shore CDC with Salem Pantry
DESCRIPTION:Join us and the Salem Pantry who is partnering with the North Shore Community Development Coalition to host a Coffee Connection. See the North Shore CDC's new space located on 96 Lafayette Street and get some coffee with us!\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCoffee Connections are designed to foster networking opportunities between local business leaders and provide ample time for discussions. They are a great way to reconnect with old acquaintances and build new ones. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nAbout the Salem Pantry:\n\n\n\nThe Salem Pantry was formed in 1991 to provide Salem residents with emergency food. Primarily funded by the generous donations of the Salem community and various state and federal grants\, the Salem Pantry is a proud affiliate of the Greater Boston Food Bank and Project Bread. Our mission is to provide Salem residents with nutritious food in an atmosphere of dignity and respect. Currently over 100 families benefit from healthy perishable food and groceries in their time of need.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Salem Pantry is particularly proud of our Backpack Program\, which provides food-filled backpacks to Salem elementary students in need of food over the weekend. The Backpack Program is a way to help these students and their families faced with a weekend food crisis. Currently\, 154 Salem Public School students go home with full backpacks on Friday afternoons.\n\n\n\nAbout the North Shore Community Development Coalition:\n\nNorth Shore Community Development Coalition carries forward 40 years of collective experience and successful community investment on the North Shore\, having reorganized as a regional community development organization in 2011.\n\n\n\nTogether\, our neighborhood revitalization model has transformed long-neglected communities into safe\, vibrant neighborhoods.\n\n\n\nAs the leading community development organization serving this area\, North Shore CDC is able to bring our neighborhood development model into communities throughout our region. Focusing on low-income and distressed neighborhoods in need of development\, North Shore CDC invests strategically in real estate\, in community and civic engagement and in quality\, neighborhood-based programming in order to bring opportunity to low-income residents and improve quality of life in Salem\, Gloucester\, Peabody and Beverly.
